The 2010 World T20 was hosted by the West Indies, and was won by England who defeated Australia by 7 wickets. This was the first ever ICC tournament won by England. The tournament is held every two years and began in South Africa in 2007. India won the first event, followed by Pakistan in 2009.

tournament will be held in 2012 and hosted by Sri Lanka. The tournament
