Live World Championship Darts Streaming
BBC, ITV4 and Sky Sports will provide UK web users with live coverage of World Darts.
The World Professional Darts Championship is the most important tournament in the darts calendar. Originally held as an annual event between 1978 and 1993, players then broke off into two separate organisations after a controversial split in the game.
Each organisation, the British Darts Organisation (BDO shown on BBC) and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC shown on Sky Sports) now organise their own World Championship in January. As a result there is no longer a unified World Champion in the game.
The BDO have organised their version dating back to 1978, and it is currently held at the Lakeside Country Club at Frimley Green, Surrey. The PDC version started in 1994 after "the split", with a field of players containing all active previous World Champions from the BDO. It is currently held at the Alexandra Palace.

PDC Darts Live on UK TV
The Professional Darts Corporation has continued to increase its annual UK televised tournaments in recent years: The World Championship, The Premier League, Las Vegas Desert Classic, UK Open, World Grand Prix and World Matchplay are all covered live via Sky Sports. The US Open was shown on Nuts TV in 2008, while ITV has televised the Grand Slam of Darts since 2007 as well as the inaugural Players Championship in 2009.

The BDO World Championship tournament has been broadcast by BBC Television every year since its inception. Since 2001 Ray Stubbs has been hosting the coverage with twice world finalist Bobby George as a pundit. The live BDO darts coverage is also shown FREE via BBC iPlayer web streaming.
