The BBC has won the UK television, radio and online broadcasting rights to cover the 2012 Summer Olympics from London.

The 2012 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad, are due to take place in London, United Kingdom from 27 July to 12 August 2012. London will become the first city to officially host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and in 1948.
In the United Kingdom the BBC will be sole broadcaster of the Games and have made a commitment to show every event live. Internet coverage will be streamed live on BBC Sport website and will be available on BBC iPlayer for up to a week after the live fixture. (UK IP Address Required)
The BBC has announced that Huw Edwards will lead its coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games, while Sue Barker, Jake Humprey and Gary Lineker will also be part of the team.
The BBC's presentation team will be based in a dedicated studio, or at various venues across the capital, with TV coverage running on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Three.
